John Sharp Invitational : 8/29/08 Great start to the season! Big improvements from last year. Great job to the new runners. Varsity - 5th out of 12 teams. Some of the best teams in the state competed. 3 guys in the top 25. Good stuff. JV - 7th out of 9th. Everyone that ran in the JV race was new to the sport. PCL Meet #1 : 9/3/08 Ran well considering it was a hot and humid day. Tommy Kehl won the race in 17:19 (2nd fastest time of the day) He earned a 1st Team All-Catholic vote. The Crusaders won their race beating Wood, O’Hara, Lansdale Catholic and Dougherty.
PCL Meet #2 : 9/10/08 An excellent day for the Crusaders. The team placed 1st in the team competition against Roman Catholic, Arch. Ryan, Lansdale Catholic and Conwell Egan. Everyone on the team ran a personal best and showed the rest of the catholic league not to take them lightly. Tom Kehl won his 2nd consecutive race pacing the Crusaders. Kehl earned a second 1st Team All-Catholic vote. Other note worthy performances from Henry Klinges, Pat Condron, Alek Lesczcynski, Mike Tranchitella and John Smart. PCL Meet #3 : 9/17/08 The Crusaders suffered their first loss to LaSalle. They placed 2nd among LaSalle, Lansdale Catholic, Monsignor Bonner, and North Catholic. Solid performances were turned in by Tom Kehl and Pat Condron. For their efforts, each of them received a 1st team All-Catholic vote. Next up for the Crusaders will be the Hershey Cross-Country Invitational on Saturday 9/20.
PIAA Foundation Hershey XC Invitational : 9/20/08 On Saturday September 20th, the cross-country team sent 5 Varsity runners to Hershey, PA to compete at the PIAA Foundation XC Invitational. The team was lead by Junior Tom Kehl. Kehl has been at the forefront of this team since the beginning of the season and and shown no signs of giving up his position. Kehl placed 20th in the large schools division and earned himself a medal clinching the last spot. The finished 16th out of 25 teams respectively. PCL Meet #4 : 9/24/08 This was a preview of how CL Champs could turn out on October 15th. The Judge harriers competed against the top 5 teams from last year's PCL Championships which were La Salle, O'Hara, St. Joe's Prep and Ryan. Judge placed 4th in this stacked meet. La Salle won the race accumulating 40 points while the Prep finished 2nd with 58 and O'Hara 3rd with 59. Judge finished 4th with 82 points....only 24 points out of 2nd place..and ran without 1 of their Varsity runners. It should be an exciting day at champs. He also broke the Junior Class record for 3.1 miles at Belmont and now takes the 3rd spot on the 25 All-Time list running 16:32. He is 9 seconds away from breaking the school record of 16:24. How low can he go?? Pat placed 14th in yesterday's race earning him a 1st team All-Catholic vote for the 2nd consecutive week.
